Have you wondered what growth sounds like? This week it was LOUD and MESSY!
A garage door came down and a cement wall with a window (window will be installed on Monday) went up. Holes drilled for the rebar to tie the new with the old wall. Cement gets flung at the wall as they “plaster” the blocks after installation to make the wall level and square. Finally a skim coat of plaster gets spread on and sanded smooth for painting.
Our bathroom did not have a window in the original design for ventilation so we decided to add one in as long as we were having the other window made. Little did I know the wall is solid concrete and not cylinder block. WAY bigger job than we expected. ALL day chiseling away at it and he almost got halfway 🤦🏼♀️
We had to move into the Airbnb next door for the weekend as Mike has pneumonia and needed to keep him out of all the dust that has been covering EVERYTHING this week.
It stormed all week so getting the roof painted and repaired before the solar panels went up was pushed to the last minute BUT… Solar panels and system were installed and a cage built around the batteries and equipment in the garage to keep things secure.
The first cabinet was installed in the laundry room today. Simple hand crafted with some trial and error but as we say here… “It’s more fun in the Philippines…”
But, that is the thing about growth. It can be loud, messy, stressful, unpredictable, uncomfortable and SO WORTH IT! When God has called you into something, He will make a way if you are obedient. Faith over fear! Step out into the unknown and see what God can do.
