About Us
EKB World Ministries is a multifaceted Non-Denominational Program founded in 2015 by Dr. Mike Durnin and his wife Deb to nurture and train Pastors and provide resources to help church bodies share the good news of Christ.
After 20 years in the mission field God called us to the Philippines in 2015. We are a Christ driven para-church as we work with many denominations of Christianity. Our current goal is to strengthen and provide training and resource support especially for rural church bodies.
In 2016 Jan and Jon Porter joined us and they began to teach kids to play the ukulele. These kids represented 10 different churches and 5 denominations of Christianity. In three years , they had 500 children on stage for a Jesus reigns concert. Mike began to work with Pastors with the vision of Ephesians 4. There we are called to unity first with God in a personal relationship, (vs. a relationship with a denomination) and secondly to come together in the full, mature body of Christ in all of our church communities.

Meet the EKB World Ministry Team
Dr. Mike and Deb Durnin initiated this ministry in 2015 on a trip to the Philippines. Joined soon after were close friends Jan and Jon Porter. As the Porter's Ukulele Ministry took off, Mike’s calling shifted from providing dental care to working with Pastors. Mike challenged them to come together to grow the Kingdom of God and better share the good news of Salvation by Grace through our Faith. In 2025 the team expanded to bring on Barb and Randy Myklebust
and Pao Gumba.
God continues to open new doors and ways to better serve and share His love for us.
